Literacy

Obsidian’s Pen was started May 4, 2023. It is a writer’s group designed for assisting new and accomplished writers with the following:

• Publication: A range of assistance offered to assist authors publish their work. Manuscript preparation, submission, promotion and services for self-publishing are available.

• Editing: Ranges from proofreading and copy editing to editing and rewriting.

• Workshops: Include writer having an opportunity to receive feedback, learn from peers and explore different realms of writing. Writers will be able to strengthen their confidence.

• Literary Consulting: We have experts whom provide guidance and support to new writers. Manuscript evaluations, developmental editing, and advice on the publishing industry are offered services.

• Networking: We build a supportive community of writers, readers, editors and publishers to build a community for collaborative publications.

• Book Tours: Different opportunities will be offered to writers to travel and sale publications for personal profit.

Obsidian’s Pen has had its thumb on the pulse of literacy in the Kansas City metro and knows how to aid writers with what they need to be comfortable and successful. Our organization is trusted and respected with the progression and enforcement of literary arts.
